Subject Location Verification for Commercial Proceedings

A corporate client required independent verification of whether an individual connected to a commercial dispute was actively attending a nominated business address. The matter involved lawful observation and discreet inquiries to establish whether the subject maintained a current presence at the location.

The brief

The client sought independent confirmation of a subject’s presence at a nominated commercial premises. The objective was to determine whether the individual could be reliably linked to the location ahead of further legal and commercial decision-making.

The assignment required discreet investigative activity, careful documentation, and a clear evidentiary record while maintaining strict confidentiality throughout the engagement.

What we did

Investigators conducted a targeted attendance at the nominated premises and maintained observation over a defined period. Activity at the location was monitored and recorded, with attention given to persons entering and exiting the building and any indicators connecting the subject to the address.

In addition to observation, limited inquiries were undertaken within the building to assess whether publicly available information could confirm an association between the subject and the premises. All observations were documented and reviewed under internal quality assurance procedures before reporting.

What changed

The investigation did not establish the subject’s presence at the location during the period of observation, nor did inquiries provide sufficient information to confirm an active association with the premises.

The outcome provided the client with an independent factual record, allowing legal advisers and decision-makers to proceed on the basis of verified information rather than assumption.
