Australian private investigators, senior-led at national scale.
ProFact is an Australian private investigation firm. We work with insurers, legal practices, corporate risk teams, and private clients who need evidence gathered lawfully, documented properly, and reported with senior oversight on every file.
How we work, before what we deliver.
Every engagement runs the same operating standard, whatever the brief. These are the principles the firm was founded on and the principles by which it is run.
-
I.
Evidence over advocacy
Our role is to capture and present fact. We do not shape findings to suit the brief, and we do not deliver outcomes a client wants when the evidence does not support them.
-
II.
Continuous chain-of-evidence
Every observation, capture and statement is recorded under documented protocols from intake to handover. Material is hashed, time-coded and stored under controlled access.
-
III.
Senior accountability
A named senior investigator owns each file. The person who scopes the brief reviews the field work, writes the report and signs the cover. There is no offshore production layer.
National practice, senior-led.

Who we are
Profact Services is the registered business name of Prime Time Risk Management & Recruitment Pty Ltd (ABN 96 159 461 284). We have operated as an Australian private investigation practice since 2012, deploying licensed field investigators in every state and territory.
ProFact is structured for national work: senior investigators scope and supervise each matter, and field teams are engaged under appropriate licensing in each jurisdiction. That model lets us accept briefs from a single capital city through to multi-site files that require coordinated surveillance, enquiries, and reporting on agreed timelines.
Who we work with
We are instructed by insurers and loss adjusters, law firms and in-house legal teams, corporate risk and human resources functions, government agencies, and private individuals. Typical work includes factual investigation, surveillance, locate and welfare enquiries, integrity and background matters, and complex files where evidence must be gathered lawfully and documented for review rather than advocacy.
If you are assessing whether ProFact is the right firm for a matter, our services pages describe capability by instruction type. You can also submit a brief for confidential scoping by a senior investigator.
Experience and expertise
Since 2012 we have built a network of more than 120 field investigators supported by in-house case managers and reporting staff. Files are opened and reviewed by senior investigators with direct experience in insurance, legal, and corporate instructions. We do not outsource senior accountability: the person who scopes your brief remains accountable for how the file is run.
Reporting is written for decision-makers. Chronology, observations, and supporting material are presented clearly so claims panels, legal reviewers, or instructing solicitors can rely on the file without re-interpreting raw field notes. Where a matter requires expert testimony, we can discuss attendance in advance of deployment.
Licensing, compliance and trust
ProFact holds NSW Security Master Licence #000103523 and works with appropriately licensed contractors elsewhere in Australia. We gather information lawfully, maintain strict file confidentiality, and provide written terms before work begins.
Our governance documents are published for transparency: Privacy Policy, Complaints Policy, and Conflicts of Interest. If you have a concern about our service, the complaints process is free and we aim to acknowledge within five business days.
Availability is 24/7 because investigation work does not always align with business hours. Enquiries are handled confidentially from first contact.
A specialist firm is only as credible as its compliance. ProFact holds a NSW Security Master Licence. Work in other states is delivered through appropriately licensed contractors operating under local requirements.
